SU's 'Year of the American Composer' to continue Feb. 22 with 'Nobody Does It Like Me' recital

To celebrate "Year of the American Composer," the Rose, Jules R. and Stanford S. Setnor School of Music in Syracuse University's College of Visual and Performing Arts will present a recital of American theater music, "Nobody Does It Like Me," Feb. 22 at 8 p.m. Soprano Julianna Sabol, chair of the voice department, will be accompanied by piano faculty member Ida Trebicka. The concert is in the Rose and Jules R. Setnor Auditorium, located in Crouse College.

The program will feature works from opera, operetta and musical theater, including selections from shows such as Leonard Bernstein's "Candide," Cole Porter's "Kiss Me Kate" and Cy Coleman's "Seesaw." The performance will be a fun evening of songs and lyrics about life, love and men, from a woman's point of view.

The recital is free and open to the public. Parking is available in the Irving Garage.
