The St. Thomas More Foundation will present its Cabaret 2004,"All The World's A Stage," April 19 from 6-10 p.m. at the John G. Alibrandi Catholic Center, 110 Walnut Pl. The fundraising event celebrates 97 years of Catholic campus ministry at SU and the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry.
Festivities will include entertainment by multicultural student performance groups and local Syracuse-area performers, food stations with an international flair, cash bar and a silent auction throughout the evening.
ESF President Cornelius B. Murphy and his wife, Joanne Murphy, will host as honorary chairs of the event. "Working with students at SU and ESF are among our favorite activities," says Murphy. "We have been longtime supporters of cultural diversity principles in both our personal and professional lives."
"This event brings the University Hill and the greater Syracuse communities together to celebrate nearly a century of one of the largest Catholic campus ministries at secular colleges and universities in the nation," says Fr. Timothy Mulligan, OFM Conv., director of the St. Thomas More Catholic Campus Ministry at the Alibrandi Catholic Center.
"This ministry was founded upon the hard work of St. Thomas More Foundation members, and we all hope to continue the good work of the Foundation and extend the ministry to reach the more than 4,000 Catholic students on the two campuses. We invite them to join us at the Alibrandi Center where they can experience spiritual, educational and social enrichment and have an opportunity to serve others."
Tickets to Cabaret 2004 are $75. For more information call 443-0266.
