Syracuse University will introduce its 11th-and first female-Chancellor and President at a news conference at 2:30 p.m. today in the Public Events Room (Room 220) of Eggers Hall. The announcement will also be webcast live at http://www.syracuse.edu/webcast/webcast.html.
At 4 p.m. in Hendricks Chapel, the Chancellor Elect will take part in a question-and-answer opportunity for the University community. Students, faculty and staff are invited to attend and can also watch the event online at http://www.syracuse.edu/webcast/webcast.html.
Beginning at 2:30 p.m., a special website offering information on the Chancellor Elect will be accessible via the University home page, http://www.syr.edu.
The Chancellor Elect will succeed Chancellor Kenneth A. Shaw, who will retire Aug. 1 after having served 13 years as SU's Chancellor and President.
