The Syracuse University community will come together next spring to say thanks and farewell to Chancellor Kenneth A. and Mary Ann Shaw.
An event is being planned for April 15, 2004, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. in the Schine Student Center's Goldstein Auditorium.
The Shaws will be stepping down from their current official duties-he as Chancellor, and she as associate of the Chancellor-on Aug. 1, 2004, after 13 years at SU. Over the next eight months, several events will take place in Syracuse and New York City to recognize the Shaws.
The April catered reception is intended as a gathering for students, faculty and staff. The program will include a video tribute, a student musical theater performance and a gift presentation.
Additional information will be made available after the beginning of the spring semester.
