MIT professor to explore sentence complexity in Nov. 21 lecture

Syracuse University's Linguistic Studies Program and the Department of Languages, Literatures and Linguistics (LLL) in The College of Arts and Sciences will sponsor a lecture by Edward Gibson, professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, on Friday, Nov. 21.

The lecture will begin at 4 p.m. in Room 107 of the Hall of Languages and is free and open to the public.

Gibson is a faculty member in MIT's Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences and Department of Linguistics and Philosophy. He will speak on "Resource Demands and Sentence Complexity."
