A new Web site, "True Leadership: Kenneth A. Shaw at Syracuse University," focuses on Chancellor Shaw's final year and offers highlights of his 13-year career at the University.

Shaw came to Syracuse from the University of Wisconsin System to become the institution's 10th Chancellor in 1991. He will step down Aug. 1 and will take a year's leave of absence before returning to SU to teach and to assume other responsibilities as assigned by his successor and the Board of Trustees. A campus farewell event is planned for April 15 in the Schine Student Center's Goldstein Auditorium.

The True Leadership site can be viewed at http://sunews.syr.edu/chancellor/index.html and is also accessible via the Syracuse University News site (http://sunews.syr.edu). Staff in the Office of University Communications developed the design and content.

The site offers an overview of Shaw's tenure and a timeline of major institutional accomplishments during this period.

Other sections feature an insightful question-and-answer session with the Chancellor, the full text and recorded Webcast of his last fall address to the University community (given Oct. 8, 2003), short-term goals he has identified for his final year, a listing of 17 key institutional issues that will face the new Chancellor, and information on the search.

The site will be updated periodically over the next several months as new content becomes available.
