The 4th Annual Rose, Jules R. and Stanford S. Setnor School of Music Prism Concert will be presented at 8 p.m. Nov. 1 in the Setnor Auditorium in Syracuse University's Crouse College. The concert is free and open to the public.

The Prism Concert is a unique, 360-degree panoramic concert experience where darkness and light intertwine and includes music of all genres performed by student soloists and ensembles.

The concert is held in complete darkness except for one spot light that shines on the group performing. Students perform from different locations throughout the auditorium - right and left sides of the stage, right, left, and rear of the balcony, as well as on the floor in front of the stage. The effect is a concert that focuses completely on the music being played-rather than the performers-and wraps the audience in sound from all directions.

The Prism Concert is held each fall and is quickly becoming a favorite event at the University. It is an exciting, new tradition that is not to be missed.
