On Oct. 24 from 8-10 p.m., Light Work will present a screening of three documentary films by Slovakian-born filmmaker Miso Suchy. The screening will take place at Watson Theater, 316 Waverly Ave., and is free and open to the public.

Films to be screened include: "Home Movie: A Diary for My American-born Son," a visual journal that reflects the personal story of Suchy's immigration to the United States and his struggle to place roots in his foreign home; "Transmitting Baba," a short documentary comprised of video letters exchanged between Suchy and his parents; and the U.S. premiere of "Pictograph," a collaboration with Suchy's wife, photographer Lida Suchy, documenting vignettes from the lives of people in the Ukraine's Carpathian Mountains.
