Wednesday, December 8, 2010; 12:07 p.m.—The University is carefully monitoring today’s weather outlook and road conditions, and will continue to do so throughout the day and evening. At this time, the University does not believe the weather outlook is severe enough to merit closing the University or curtailing operations, as SU is primarily a residential institution.
It is understandable that some students and some faculty who do commute may encounter conditions that necessitate a personal safety decision to miss class. If this is the case, students and faculty should work with each other to make up for any missed work or assignments Also, any staff member who needs to adjust his or her work schedule due to an individual situation should discuss the matter with his/her supervisor.
