Syracuse University Chancellor and President Nancy Cantor will be awarded an honorary degree by Colgate University at its 191st commencement on Sunday, May 20.
The ceremony and celebration naming the main gallery in honor of the long-time supporter of the arts will be held on Tuesday, May 29, from 5-7 p.m.
The legendary SU football wide receiver has been chosen for induction into the College Football Hall of Fame.

Ravaged by a million-person genocide and trying to become a knowledge-based economy, the African country of Rwanda is working to rebuild its society. Part of the challenge: only a handful of Rwandans are currently trained as public and academic librarians. The SU School of Information Studies (iSchool), along with other key partners, is answering the country’s call for educational assistance. Read more
