Connect Me
Want to receive more information relative to your interests, invitations to admissions events on and off campus, and reminders about important deadlines?
Let me introduce myself! I received my undergraduate and graduate degrees from Syracuse University and currently have two sons attending – a senior and a first-year student. As an admissions professional, parent and graduate, I am eager to share the Syracuse University experience with you!
I am delighted to serve as a contact for students studying in Europe. Although I can’t visit everywhere, this April I will be in Madrid, Brussels, London and Paris to meet with students, parents and counselors. Whether you are an admitted student or just starting to investigate colleges and would like to get a head start, I am happy to be a resource for you.
If we are not able to meet in person, let’s connect via email or Skype. We also have wonderful current students from Europe who would welcome the chance to share their Syracuse story with you!
Please note the dates and events below and contact me at nmrothsc@syr.edu to rsvp for a reception, schedule a meeting or personal interview.
With best regards,
Nancy Machles Rothschild

I chose SU mainly becuse of the Newhouse School, its vision “Scholarship in Action”, and its great campus and history. My favorite experience here was the group of events in the first week which allowed me to meet many people and join organizations. Be ambitious and never give up on your studies. Studying abroad is a very different experience which makes students more connected to the world and become world citizens. Studies pay at the end. Fallow your heart and apply for a major you truly like and that you will enjoy studying. Always try to learn more!

I chose Syracuse University because my political science courses are offered through the world recognized Maxwell School. When I visited, the campus really felt like home! Syracuse University provides that typical American college experience: dorm life, loads of extracurricular activities and a wide selection of courses. My favorite experience here so far has been being elected Assembly Representative in the Student Association and meeting a diverse group of intelligent people. Keep as many options as possible open to yourselves: give every school, across the world, an equal chance. Consider everything.
