Student Housing

Few schools can match the quality and diversity of Syracuse's student housing. First- and second-year students live in Syracuse University housing, with housing for transfers on a first-come, first-served basis. As a first-year student you'll live in one of the 18 residence halls on Main campus. Residence halls are coeducational by wing, floor, or alternating room. Each large residence hall has a lounge, television room, laundry room, vending machines, and recreation space.

After your first year, you can live in any of the residence halls that offer single rooms, suites, or traditional doubles, or in South Campus apartments. Some upperclass students live in fraternity or sorority houses or in apartments in the residential neighborhoods surrounding the University.

Syracuse University offers learning communities and interest housing. Learning communities allow students with similar interests to live together and take one or more courses together. Interest housing opportunities include: quiet lifestyle, substance free, or transfer student housing.
