The goal of the Office of Foundation Relations is to increase the amount of foundation gifts and grants made to SU's research, academic, or community initiatives. We do that by facilitating positive communications with a foundation's staff, submitting well-conceived grant proposals, and executing careful stewardship of grants.
Foundation Relations works closely with the Chancellor, provost, and deans to identify priority projects and provides various foundation-related services to the University. They include identifying foundation funding opportunities, developing University-wide strategies for foundation partners, assisting with project and proposal development, and facilitating the submission of grant proposals.
We seek to boost foundation funding by offering services that ensure all funding proposals sent out by the University meet specific standards and requirements. We also operate as a campus clearinghouse for deans, faculty, staff, and development officers, so that foundation communications are strategic and coordinated.
