AndreaWangsanata-448x344.jpgBeing an SU student is much different than I anticipated, and is far from what life is like at home, but I'd say it has been an excellent experience. At SU, I've developed as a person and made great friends. I've also discovered my passion for being an activist.

I'm one of many students working to create an Asian/Asian-American studies program at the university, something we believe is very important. I look forward the day the program is implemented into the university’s curricula; it will be my proudest moment at SU. Though it is still a work in progress, I'm strongly committed to making the program a reality. I am motivated by the personal significance of this project and the profound effect it will likely have for future generations of SU students.

Why did you choose SU?
I chose SU for its excellent academic and student life programs and its contrasting environment from my home in New York City. It is also not too close to home, but not too far from it, either.

What has been your most meaningful experience so far?
I try to have meaningful experiences each day.

What's the secret of your success at SU?
Keep an open mind, always stay positive, and be sure to write down everything in your planner!

How have you changed since you've been here?
I’ve become more confident in my abilities and willing to express my personal preferences. I've also discovered some of my passions in life. I think that every stage in life is a growing experience, and I don't want to waste any time on anything that's not going to lead to my growth.

What do you plan do after you graduate?
Not really sure, but I want a job that I love and that will benefit others. Money and material items are nice, but it's more important to me that I am fulfilled and happy.
