The Counseling Center is excited to announce that four new staff therapists and a new Options GA have joined our team in the past week. Please join us in welcoming:
Clark Pinson, MA, Staff Therapist. Clark holds his B.S. in Psychology from Virginia Tech, an M.A. in Clinical Psychology from the Georgia School of Professional Psychology, and is nearing completion of his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from West Virginia University. Clark joins us from the Carruth Center for Psychological Services at West Virginia University, where he recently completed his pre-doctoral internship. His clinical interests include providing group therapy, working with students with eating disorders, crisis intervention, trauma work, working with students with bipolar disorder, and the developmental transitions of college students.
Kelly Richards, Psy. D., Staff Therapist. Kelly earned her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from Marywood University in 2010 and additionally holds an M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Marywood University and a B.A. in Psychology and minors in Women’s Studies and Sociology from Lycoming College. Kelly joins us from the SUNY Buffalo Counseling Services, where she was a staff psychologist. Her clinical interests include trauma, gender issues, LGBTQ concerns, relationship issues, multiculturalism, family of origin issues, identity development, and group therapy.
MinJung “MJ” Doh, Ph.D., Staff Therapist. MJ recently graduated from Penn State University with a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology. She additionally has an M.A. in Counseling from New York University, and a B.A. in Chinese from the University of Michigan. MJ joins us from the Counseling Center at the University of Notre Dame, where she has recently completed her pre-doctoral internship in psychology. MJ’s clinical interests include working with students with eating disorders, development and identity concerns, and working with students from underserved populations, particularly international students.
Kizzie Walker, Ph.D., Staff Therapist. Kizzie recently graduated from Marquette University with a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. She additionally holds an M.S. in Clinical Psychology from Marquette and a B.A. in psychology from the University of Notre Dame. Kizzie joins us from the Ohio State University Counseling and Consultation Services, where she worked as a clinical fellow. Kizzie’s clinical interests include multiculturalism, working with students from underrepresented and underserved populations, identity development, relationship issues, and providing group therapy.
Keenyn Wald, Options GA. Keenyn holds a BS in Health and Human Development from Montana State University. He worked with ORL at SU for four years, and is currently finishing his last year in the Counseling and Human Service Department’s Mental Health Counseling program. Keenyn’s clinical interests include working with students regarding issues related to substance use and abuse and conducting outreach with the university community.
