Thomas V. Wolfe

Senior Vice President and Dean of Student Affairs

Thomas V. Wolfe was appointed Senior Vice President and Dean of the Division of Student Affairs by Chancellor Nancy Cantor on June 3, 2008.

Prior to his appointment to Student Affairs, Tom served as the fifth dean of Hendricks Chapel at Syracuse University. He assumed that appointment in January, 1999. Prior to that, he had served as the Interdenominational Protestant Chaplain at Syracuse University. He has also served as pastor of United Methodist parishes in Moravia and Ithaca in upstate New York.

Tom holds a B.A. degree from Lycoming College in Williamsport, PA, a Master of Divinity degree from Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley, CA, and a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from Syracuse University. Tom is an ordained elder with the North Central New York Conference of the United Methodist Church. He was ordained in 1980.

Among his civic interests, Tom serves the Syracuse community as the former president and a current board member for the InterFaith Works of CNY. He chaired the 2008, 2009, and 2010 White Ribbon Campaign for Vera House, where he recently completed two full terms on the board and was president of the board in 2006.
