Jena McWha joined Syracuse University in April 2010 and serves as the chief deputy to the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. In her role as Vice President, McWha has joint responsibility for the management and oversight of the Business, Finance, and Administrative Services division, including: the Office of Athletic Compliance, the Office of Audit and Management Advisory Services, Auxiliary Services, the Office of Budget and Planning, Business and Facilities Maintenance Services, the Comptroller’s Office, the Office of Campus Planning, Design, and Construction, the Department of Public Safety in collaboration with Student Affairs, the Office of Energy Systems & Sustainability Management, the Office Of Human Resources, in collaboration with Academic Affairs, the Office of Purchasing and Real Estate, the Office of Risk Management, the Sheraton Syracuse University Hotel and Conference Center, and the Treasurer’s Office. In addition, she is involved with assisting the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in his joint role with the Vice Chancellor and Provost pertaining to Information Technology and Services.
 
McWha came to Syracuse from Washington, D.C. where she served as Practice Manager with the Advisory Board Company.  In this capacity, she partnered with EVPs, CFOs and other Cabinet members at universities across the country on strategies and tactics for operational efficiency, long-term financial planning, pan-university policy setting, shared services models, process improvement and assessment.
 
Prior to her work with the Advisory Board Company, McWha served as an Associate Director in the Office of Development at Princeton University, as a management consultant with the Corporate Executive Board and PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP, and worked in corporate strategy with Discovery Communications, Inc. and Intel Corporation.
 
McWha serves on the Boards of Drumlins Country Club and Sheraton Syracuse University Hotel and Conference Center, LLC.
 
McWha holds a M.B.A. from Georgetown University and an A.B., cum laude, from Princeton University.
