The Chancellor's Cabinet is composed of senior-level administrators, each a head of a major division of the University. Chaired by Chancellor Cantor, the Cabinet is involved in budget and policy decisions.

Eric F. Spina

Vice Chancellor and Provost

Eric F. Spina is Syracuse University’s chief academic officer, holding the dual title of Vice Chancellor and Provost. Prior to his appointment in January 2007, he had spent almost 20 years at Syracuse in teaching, research and administration and a brief term as Interim Vice Chancellor and Provost. He had been the Douglas D. Danforth Dean of the L.C. Smith College of Engineering and Computer Science. Read more

Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Executive Vice President for Advancement and External Affairs

Tom Walsh is Executive Vice President for Advancement and External Affairs at Syracuse University. Kal Alston

Senior Vice President for Human Capital Development

Kal Alston was named Senior Vice President for Human Capital Development in 2011, after serving as Senior Associate Provost for Academic Administration and co-leading the human resources functions at the University. Senior Vice President and General Counsel

Tom Evans serves as the General Counsel for Syracuse University. He is responsible for providing legal advice and services to the entire University, including the Board of Trustees, as well as to the University's affiliates and subsidiaries. Sherburne "Shere" B. Abbott is Vice President for Sustainability Initiatives and University Professor of Sustainability Science and Policy at Syracuse University. Prior to this appointment in June 2011, she was a senior advisor to President Obama, serving as the associate director for environment of the Office of Science and Technology Policy in the Executive Office of the President. Dean, School of Education

Douglas Biklen is Dean of the School of Education and Professor of Cultural Foundations and Teaching and Leadership at the School of Education, Syracuse University. He is a senior faculty member in the Center on Human Policy, Law and Disability Studies. His most recent book is Autism and the Myth of the Person Alone (2005). Daryl Gross assumed his current position in February 2005 and is responsible for overseeing, managing and directing all aspects of the Department of Athletics and the Carrier Dome. These responsibilities include management of all personnel, operational, facility, fiscal and policy matters for a program that conducts 21 varsity sports involving more than 600 student-athletes. As vice president for enrollment management, Donald Saleh directs more than 250 full-time professional and support staff in the Division of Enrollment Management; is responsible for annual budget assets in excess of $230 million; and oversees University administrative units responsible for undergraduate admissions, graduate enrollment management, undergraduate and graduate financial aid and enrollment management research, as well as the Registrar's Office, SU Abroad and Army and Air Force ROTC. Christopher Sedore was named Vice President for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer in 2009 after a brief term as Interim Vice President for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer.
