Senior Vice President for Government Affairs and Regulatory Compliance Officer

Serves as Marsh’s National Government Affairs and Regulatory Compliance Officer with oversight and responsibility for tracking industry and regulatory issues impacting Marsh’s core operations.  Marsh’s core operations consist of insurance brokerage, consulting, captives, consumer, agency, and risk pools.  The organization’s service/product mix falls within the following core industry segments: property & casualty, life & annuity, health and managed care, and investment products.  Michael also has compliance oversight for public entity/government related clients, captive services, and serves as Marsh Institutional Privacy and Data Security Compliance Officer

Michael previously served as the senior compliance and ethics officer for the South Zone region of Marsh with oversight and governance responsibility for Marsh’s brokerage and risk management operations.  Responsibilities also include, but are not limited to, monitoring, training, and enforcing Marsh’s code of conduct, compliance policies, professional standards, and federal and state regulatory requirements impacting Marsh’s operations.   

 Michael has over 17 years of professional service experience with financial institutions in the risk, compliance, and ethics arena.  This experience also encompasses new product development, project management, compliance, legal, training, operations, marketing, risk and claims management, process improvement, and underwriting.
