
The scholarships of our program are based on need. In other words, students must have a need as determined by the Office of Financial Aid (the need is based on the information received from your FAFSA). Once need is determined, then awards are made based on merit (how well the student is doing academically).
Students are nominated by faculty, staff, current scholarship recipients or themselves. The procedure for nomination is listed below. NOMINATIONS FOR ACADEMIC YEAR 2013-14 WILL BE ACCEPTED FROM MARCH 11, 2013 THROUGH MAY 17, 2013 ONLY:
1. Send an e-mail to Angela Morales-Patterson, Manager of Alumni Programs, Office of Program Development at aamorale@syr.edu
2. The subject line should read "Nominee for Our Time Has Come (OTHC) 2013-14." In the body of the e-mail, please provide name with middle initial, school/college of enrollment, major, and class standing for academic year 2013-14.
