Celebrate philanthropy at SU!

Next week, Syracuse University will celebrate the vital role of philanthropy—especially here on campus.

All you need to do is look around you to see the names of generous people whose gifts have made the SU experience a special one—and that includes faculty and staff who, together, have contributed more than $7.25 million since the launch of The Campaign for Syracuse University.

Honor all our donors by being part of these open-to-everyone Philanthropy Week activities...

INAUGURAL PHANSTIEL LECTURE
Tuesday, April 10, 4 p.m.
Hendricks Chapel

The first Phanstiel Lecture—supported by a generous gift from SU Trustee Howie Phanstiel ’70, G’71 and Louise Phanstiel—will feature John J. Wood, a former Microsoft executive who went on to found one of the fastest-growing nonprofits in history.

Don't miss his inspirational story about Room to Read, an organization that's transforming the lives of children in developing countries through literacy and gender equality in education.

THANK-A-DONOR DAY
Thursday, April 12, All Day
#suthanks or Online

Did you realize that tuition and fees cover only about 85% of the true cost of an SU education? Without gifts from alumni, faculty, staff, parents, friends, and students, a student's semester would end 29 days early!

Share a few words of thanks with our donors via Twitter at #suthanks or online at thanks.syr.edu.
