"My SU experience has been priceless."

For Generation Orange alum Alexis Ostrander '07, being part of the first Sorkin in L.A. Learning Practicum—a week-long immersion program made possible by generous support from Aaron Sorkin '83—led to her first internship, which in turn led to her first job in the LA entertainment industry. Every day, gifts big and small from Syracuse University alumni, parents, and friends are responsible for success stories like Alexis. Now, less than six months after the start of our regional fundraising effort, donors in the LA area have really stepped up to support The Campaign for Syracuse University. Here are some of the latest developments:

A 282% increase in gifts!

Since our last e-mail, new pledges to the campaign have more than tripled, from $396,742 to $1,517,415. And the number of donors has increased to 1,408, including 29 members of Generation Orange—graduates of the past 10 years.

Boosting the impact of the arts

Forever grateful for the four-year, full-tuition scholarship that enabled her to attend SU, Marylyn Ginsburg-Klaus '56, G'57 has been a longtime supporter of the College of Visual and Performing Arts.
