Syracuse University

Were you on the Quad yesterday?

If not, you missed a celebration of two momentus occasions in SU's history!

A bigger NYC campus

First, it was announced that Syracuse University's New York City campus is undergoing a major expansion. The new Fisher Center—named in honor of trustee and lead donor Winston Fisher ’96—will provide all of SU's school's and colleges with state-of-the-art facilities in the heart of Manhattan. That means more students than ever will have access to the kind of learning opportunities only NYC can provide.

Now it's $1 billion plus!

The really big announcement was that The Campaign for Syracuse University—the largest fundraising effort in SU's history—has exceeded its $1 billion goal a full three months early! The campaign total so far (with more three months to go) is $1,008,612,731!

But while the dollars are important, what's even more impressive is what those dollars mean to you—our students. And what they mean is more opportunity. More scholarships. More world-class faculty. More academic programs. More state-of-the-art facilities. More ways to challenge yourselves and excel.

See this tremendous transformation for yourself. Check out the interactive map at whatisit.syr.edu!

"it" = the future

So what is "it"? It's all the things the campaign has enabled. Ultimately, "it" is the future of SU and the future of our students, all fueled by the power of philanthropy. So to all of you who support SU with your enthusiasm and Orange spirit, thank you!

See the impact!
