Since September, alumni, parents, and friends in the Boston area have stepped up to support The Campaign for Syracuse University in a big way. Here are some highlights of the past few months:
A terrific response!
Clearly Boston sees the importance of an SU experience. More than 700 donors have joined the campaign since September 1. Of the $621,221 in gifts and pledges received between September 1 and November 30, $152,450 was eligible for the Thonis Challenge.

Alumni clubs unite.
Even alumni clubs are coming together to support the campaign. Boston Orange—the official Syracuse University alumni club for the Boston area—is competing with alumni clubs in other parts of the country to see which one has the highest percentage of participation. Next spring, the University will recognize the club earning the number one spot!
Lights, camera, action!
During Orange Central weekend in October, a number of alumni volunteered to be interviewed on camera. The result is a fabulous new video highlighting some of the ways SU has given them their start. Check it out online at boston.syr.edu.
There's still time to give!
If you haven't made your gift to The Campaign for Syracuse University, now is the time—it will count toward Boston's total and can still be counted as a tax deduction for 2010. Most important, it will help us provide tomorrow's students with the start they need to succeed in today's complex world.
