With exceptional faculty, progressive academic programs, high-tech facilities, scholarships—all of the things necessary to prepare SU graduates to take on the complex problems of our world. These things are also at the core of The Campaign for Syracuse University, the most ambitious fundraising effort in SU's history.
Launched in 2007, the campaign is more than three-quarters of the way to its $1 billion goal. The dollars raised so far have enabled so much, from the construction of the Life Sciences Complex to the creation of the LA Semester to the $178 million in financial aid provided to students for the 2010-11 academic year.
Now, to ensure that such great opportunities continue, SU is focusing its fundraising on certain areas of the country, like Boston, where it has especially close ties with alumni, parents, and friends. Read the official announcement.
One Boston-area alum, Michael Thonis '72, has shown his support with a $250,000 challenge. Just give to your passion—the part of SU that means the most to you—with a gift to The Campaign for Syracuse University, and he'll give an equal gift to his. That means the overall impact of your gift is doubled!
Learn more about Boston's role in the campaign at boston.syr.edu. Then take advantage of the Thonis Challenge and make your gift online or by phone at 877.2GROWSU. And it will be one more link in the chain that stretches from Syracuse to us.
