Syracuse University

Sara Jane Caum graduated from
Syracuse University in 1950.

With English degree in hand, she embarked on the next phase of a lifelong commitment to education. Sara began teaching in her native Pennsylvania, then went on to receive a master’s degree in education guidance and launch a long, distinguished career as a high school guidance counselor.

Sara's life was dedicated to helping countless students reach their educational goals, but her passion didn’t stop there. As an active member of the Syracuse University Alumni Association—serving as president and secretary—she also gave time and energy to her beloved alma mater.

Today, Sara's legacy of caring lives on through an unrestricted bequest. By supporting SU's most critical and pressing needs, she will continue to impact its students far into the future.

You can make a lasting difference, too.

As someone who supports SU, you realize the impact giving can have. Making a bequest—whether large or small—will cost you nothing in your lifetime, allow you to sustain the part of SU that means the most to you, and help make a lasting difference for generations of students and faculty.
