Yes, we’re a little wiser, grayer and older, but certainly we’re looking forward to our reunion. Our 55th reunion will be made even more special if you attend…
The festivities start with registration Friday afternoon, and Friday night we’ll meet at Drumlins, the scene of our 50th reunion. We will enjoy a beautiful dinner in our honor, but the highlight will be even more special. Our own Ken Sparks is being honored with the Melvin A. Eggers Senior Alumni Award. Dinner guests will be seated by class, so let’s show our affection and support for our '56 classmate, Ken Sparks and make plans to attend this dinner.
Saturday will be a packed day with a Reunion Tailgate, campus tours, Daily Orange Open House, Organ Recital with Don Ingram ’54, art shows, a football game and our 55th Reunion Dinner. Our Saturday reunion dinner will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. Many of us are planning to stay there, too, and we understand that parking and commuting are easy. Ted Krawitz (TK) will emcee the dinner, and he tells us he is combing the continent for prizes to be awarded for all sorts of accomplishments. We’re also hoping some of our classmates will provide surprise entertainment.
The weekend will end with a Sunday farewell brunch. The University will make provisions to accommodate physically challenged classmates and spouses so that they can attend the events.
Please join us as we renew old friendships, reminisce about our days at SU, and have a “rarin” good time on campus Sept. 9, 10, and 11.
