Celebrated broadcast journalist and former Nightline anchor Ted Koppel '60, H'00 interviewed Tony Award-winning and Oscar-nominated actor Frank Langella '59 in an engaging and entertaining event at Syracuse Stage. See Photos Joyce Carol Oates '60, H'00 is one of the world's most prolific—and most acclaimed—authors, delighted Orange Central attendees with selected readings and commentary, followed by a Q&A session with the audience. Despite the rain, the traditional Homecoming parade featured plenty of original banners, floats, and SU spirit. We were thrilled to have these three Orange Central co-chairs welcoming Syracuse University's alumni back to campus. Among the many Orange Central events were special reunions for such groups as orientation leaders, Orange Seeds, and RAs, and for the first time, WAER, The Daily Orange, and University Union.
Contessa Brewer is a 1996 magna cum laude graduate of the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and a news anchor on MSNBC.
Marvin Druger has been at SU since 1955 and has taught more than 40,000 students. He is a Professor of Biology and Science Education and a Laura J. and L. Douglas Meredith Professor for Teaching Excellence.
Don McPherson was an All American quarterback of the SU football team and, in 2008, was inducted into the College Hall of Fame. He is a 1987 graudate of The College of Arts and Sciences.

This year's Orange Central weekend saw the introduction of a fabulous new event—the Orange Circle Award Party! Between hors d'oeuvres and entertainment, we toasted alutristic SU people doing extraordinary things in support of others.
