National Orange Day
2012NOD.jpg

It's time to celebrate SU's 142nd Birthday, March 24, 2012!

Here are a few ways you can celebrate National Orange Day, the anniversary of SU's founding day.

  • Be part of our video! Traditions Commission, one of SU's longstanding student organizations, is creating the first-ever National Orange Day video. They're asking alumni to submit a picture of themselves wearing orange and holding their class years to sutraditions@gmail.com by Friday, March 16. What better way to recognize the University's founding than to showcase our alumni! The video will be released on March 24.

  • Get involved in your community! Alumni Clubs across the country are commemorating National Orange Day in their communities. See how you can get involved!

  • Enjoy treats! Traditions Commission will also be serving delicious treats in the Schine Student Atrium on Thursday, March 22. Stop by for some refreshments!

  • Participate in the Campus Community Service Project! Students and staff are invited to partner with the Central New York Alumni Club on a neighborhood cleanup on March 24. Learn more here.

  • Support Vera House! Help support the campus-wide sponsorship of the Vera House White Ribbon Campaign. Ribbons and wrist bands will be available for purchase on Thursday, March 22, in the Schine Student Center.

Remember to wear your Orange proudly on March 24!
