It's time to Celebrate!

Here are a few ways you can celebrate National Orange Day, the anniversary of SU's founding day.

  • Students! Celebrate National Orange Day by participating in "Where's Otto?" Look for one clue a day posted on Facebook and Twitter by SU Traditions and OSA. Use the clue to find an Otto on a different campus department's website each day by 5 p.m. Click on the link to submit your chance to win an awesome prize! Look for this image below.

    Where's Otto?

    Thursday's clue:
Your parents will want to take a lot of pictures of you and Otto in your gowns on this memorable day.

  • Be part of our video! Traditions Commission, one of SU's long-standing student organizations, is creating their 2nd Annual National Orange Day video. They're asking students, alumni, staff, and fans to submit a short video (20 to 30 seconds) of themselves wearing orange and showing off their best dance moves to sutraditions@gmail.com by Thursday, March 21. Don't miss your chance to be a part of the National Orange Day virtual dance party and celebrate SU's founding! The video will be released on March 24.

  • Get involved in your community! Alumni Clubs across the country are commemorating National Orange Day in their communities. See how you can get involved!
  • Enjoy treats! Traditions Commission will be serving delicious treats in the Schine Student Atrium on Thursday, March 21. Stop by for some refreshments, have a caricature done of yourself, and visit the photobooth!

  • Support Vera House! Help support the campus-wide sponsorship of the Vera House White Ribbon Campaign. Ribbons and wrist bands will be available for purchase on Thursday, March 21 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Schine Student Center.

  • Bookstore Special: Wear Orange on March 21 and save 25% on SU sweatshirts. Cannot be combined with any other promotional discount.

  • Ice Skating at Tennity: Enjoy free admission and half price skate rental at Tennity Ice Skating Pavilion on Sunday, March 24.

  • Carrier Dome and National Grid: Look for these Syracuse landmarks to be glowing orange on March 24!

Be sure to wear your Orange proudly on March 24!

National Orange Day is sponsored by Traditions Commission, Alumni Relations, and all the Syracuse University Alumni Clubs.
