Tell Us More About You!
We'd be happy to keep you up-to-date with information relative to your interests, admissions events, and reminders of important deadlines. We just need to know more about you!
Let me introduce myself. I received my undergraduate and graduate degrees from Syracuse University and, in fact, 5 family members (including my son who just graduated) have degrees from the University. Yes, I have a little orange blood! As an admissions professional, SU parent and graduate, I am eager to share the Syracuse University experience with you!
I am delighted to serve as a contact for students studying in Europe. This year, I will be visiting a number of countries to participate in college fairs, visit secondary schools, and interview students. I appreciate how different our school system and application process can be for students studying outside the United States and I look forward to being of assistance to you.
If we are not able to meet in Europe or on campus, Skype interviews can also be arranged. Please feel free to contact me at nmrothsc@syr.edu to express your interest in Syracuse or to receive any additional information.
Currently, we have more than 120 wonderful undergraduate and graduate students from Europe, many of whom are eager to share their Syracuse story with you. You may learn more about them to the right, and please e-mail me if you would like to contact them directly.
I look forward to hearing from you!
With best regards,
Nancy Machles Rothschild
Associate Dean
Meet Our International Students
"I always knew I wanted to study in the United States, and SU's School of Architecture is ranked in the top 10. SU is big enough for you to meet other international students and there are so many academic options. If I ended up changing my mind about architecture, I'd have so many other choices. I have to say, everyone has been so kind here!" Rafael Cifuentes, '16 (at left) "My advice to European students who are considering SU is to buy warm clothes! I'm a first year student and have been here for only a few weeks, but it's been very easy to meet people. I chose SU because I was looking for a strong International Relations major, and SU's is among the best." Demir Gonenc ‘14 "I chose SU mainly becuse of the Newhouse School, its vision “Scholarship in Action”, and its great campus and history. My favorite experience here was the group of events in the first week which allowed me to meet many people and join organizations. Be ambitious and never give up on your studies. Studying abroad is a very different experience which makes students more connected to the world and become world citizens. Studies pay at the end. Fallow your heart and apply for a major you truly like and that you will enjoy studying. Always try to learn more!" "As a first year student, I've joined so many groups already - marching band, University Union, Ultimate Frisbee. I've really enjoyed everything and feel like I made a great choice coming to SU. It's okay to arrive here and not be entirely sure of what you want to study; you'll find your niche very quickly."
