To Campus

For daily visitation, please follow the directions below:

By car, Syracuse University is most easily reached from Interstate 81. New York State Thruway (Interstate 90) travelers should take Thruway exit 36 (Interstate 81) and proceed south. Both northbound and southbound travelers on Interstate 81 should exit at Adams Street (Exit 18). Parking directions will differ based on your visitation so please carefully review the directions below.

If you are flying to Syracuse, car rental is available at Syracuse's Hancock International Airport. We recommend that you make reservations at least two weeks in advance. Taxi service from the airport to campus costs approximately $30 one way.

Parking for Daily Visitation

Monday - Friday

University Avenue Garage Parking Information

The University Avenue Garage is located at 705 University Avenue, between Adams Street and Harrison Avenue.

Southbound travelers: proceed down ramp and continue on Almond Street to Adams Street. Turn LEFT on Adams Street and continue up the hill to the third traffic light. Cross University Avenue and turn LEFT into the University Avenue Garage.

Northbound travelers: proceed down ramp and turn RIGHT onto Adams Street. Continue up the hill to the third traffic light. Cross University Avenue and turn LEFT into the University Avenue Garage.

Walk to the Office of Admissions, 100 Crouse-Hinds Hall from University Avenue Garage

Follow University Avenue toward campus (the Hall of Languages will be facing you) for one block. Turn RIGHT at Marshall Street (Starbucks will be on your right). Follow Marshall Street to South Crouse Avenue and turn LEFT. Continue one block and cross Waverly Avenue. Immediately cross South Crouse Avenue and Crouse-Hinds Hall will be directly in front of you. Enter at the main doors from the sidewalk closest to the parking services booth. Please plan your arrival time accordingly, as your walk to Crouse-Hinds Hall will take a few minutes. Since your visit will include a walking tour of the campus, we suggest wearing comfortable shoes. If someone in your party is unable to walk from the parking garage, please contact our office, 315-443-3611, to arrange for drop-off at Crouse-Hinds Hall.

Note: Please bring your parking ticket with you. The ticket will be validated at the Office of Admissions for you to submit to the parking attendant upon exiting the garage.

Parking for Saturdays Only

Waverly Lot

April 6, 13, 20, and 27, and May 4 and 18

The Waverly Lot is located at 805 South Crouse Avenue, at the corner of South Crouse and Waverly Avenue.

Note: Tickets are not issued for visitor parking in the Waverly Lot and therefore, validation is not necessary.  Permits are not required for visitor parking on Saturdays.  The Waverly lot is not available for parking Monday - Friday.

Southbound travelers: proceed down ramp and continue on Almond Street to Adams Street.  Turn LEFT on Adams Street and continue up the hill to the third traffic light.  Turn RIGHT onto University Avenue.  Drive past the Sheraton and turn RIGHT onto Waverly Avenue.  At the first traffic light, turn RIGHT onto South Crouse Avenue.  Make an immediate RIGHT into the Waverly Avenue Lot.

Northbound travelers: proceed down ramp and turn RIGHT onto Adams Street.  Continue up the hill to the third traffic light.  Turn RIGHT onto University Avenue.  Drive past the Sheraton and turn RIGHT onto Waverly Avenue.  At the first traffic light, turn RIGHT onto South Crouse Avenue.  Make an immediate RIGHT into the Waverly Avenue Lot.

Walk to the Office of Admissions, 100 Crouse-Hinds Hall diagonally across the street from Waverly Lot.

Follow South Crouse Avenue towards the intersection of South Crouse Avenue and Waverly Avenue.  Cross Waverly Avenue and then immediately cross South Crouse Avenue and Crouse-Hinds Hall will be directly in front of you.  Enter at the main doors from the sidewalk closest to the parking services booth.  Since your visit will include a walking tour of campus, we suggest wearing comfortable shoes.

*If Waverly Lot is full, please follow the directions to the Harrison and Lehman Lots below.

Harrison and Lehman Parking Lots

The Harrison and Lehman Lots are located across the street of the University Avenue Garage on University Avenue.

The University Avenue Garage is located at 705 University Avenue, between Adams Street and Harrison Avenue.

Southbound travelers: proceed down ramp and continue on Almond Street to Adams Street. Turn LEFT on Adams Street and continue up the hill to the third traffic light. Turn LEFT onto University Avenue and entrance to the parking lots will be on the left.

Northbound travelers: proceed down ramp and turn RIGHT onto Adams Street. Continue up the hill to the third traffic light. Turn LEFT onto University Avenue and entrance to the parking lots will be on the left.

Walk to the Office of Admissions, 100 Crouse-Hinds Hall:
