Homeschooled Students

Along with a completed application and application fee, we require:

• Transcripts for grades 9 through 12 from the home-school instructor listing the courses administered and student's performance in each course
• Detailed course descriptions for all courses administered
• SAT 1 or ACT with writing
• Two letters of recommendation from someone outside the student's household (teacher, community leader, or other individuals familiar with the student)
• Proof of school recognition by the state Department of Education or Home School Association

If the transcript is not from a recognized school, the student will need to supply one of the following:

• A Graduate Equivalency Diploma (GED).   
• A letter from the student's local school district officials confirming that the student has received an education "substantially equivalent" to instruction given to students graduating high school in the public or private institution.  The letter must specifically state, "substantially equivalent".
